All of our Birdhouses and Feeders are Canadian made in our home workshop in Newmarket, Ontario . At first we made them for pleasure but as friends and strangers started receiving our One-of-a-Kind Birdhouses, word has spread to the point that custom orders started coming in for unique hand-made gifts for their families and friends.

Thus the creation of

“Gone to the Birds”

Our Birdhouses and Feeders are made from sturdy natural wood, not plywood or particle board, as in many Birdhouses and Feeders.

All of our houses are unique in style and all are made with
natural materials such as twigs, moss, bark and whatever other materials we may come across in the woods.

Nothing has been destroyed in nature to build our products.
Bark, twigs, fungus, etc…….have been gathered from the forest floor or passed on from friends and neighbours.

Every one of our Birdhouses has something very special about it.

Natural wood sap and wood grains associated with our custom wood products, not all areas of our wood will absorb stains and varnishes in the same manner, thus giving our products the rustic look.

Stains and Varnishes are water-based keeping the environment in mind.

Each Birdhouse or Feeder is designed in a unique fashion and no two are exactly the same.

Suet

Offering suet in a wire cage or suet log is a low-maintenance bird feeder. You refill only once every week or so, you never need to scrub the feeder, and you can leave it in your yard year round. Presenting suet in your backyard will also attract a greater variety of birds for your enjoyment. Some of the backyard birds that enjoy suet include:

       Woodpeckers
       Chickadees
       Bluebirds
       Warblers
       Titmice
       Nuthatches
       Jays
        Wrens

Some of these birds won't visit your seed feeders,
so this is a great way to attract more types of birds to your backyard!

BENEFITS TO YOUR GARDEN

The birds that visit your suet feeder will also reward you in the spring and summer months by eating the insects in your garden!

WINTER TIP:

The winter season brings many tasks like finding food and staying warm. Suet provides an excellent source of energy for over wintering birds.
